DESCRIPTION:Join Janet Vedder to learn an Indonesian fabric dyeing techniqu
 e called batik. To make a batik\, selected areas of the design are blocked
  out by applying hot wax over them\, a dye is applied on top\, and the par
 ts covered in wax resist the dye and remain the original colour. Students 
 will create a few fabric pieces that they can use in a future project.
