A figurative painter with a view to the human condition and the natural world, Ted Wetherbee tries to express our times as powerfully, eloquently, and as realistically as he can. Simultaneously a realist and traditionalist in terms of content, his main focus is an element of expressionism almost always present in his work. His paintings depict people in all their variety, portraits, crowds, and both everyday and allegorical landscapes.
