GROWING NATIVE HERBS

Have you ever planted seeds and had nothing sprout? Many perennial and native seeds require special treatment to germinate. In this beginner-friendly class, Sarah Sorci of Sweet Flag Herbs will spotlight her favorite culinary and medicinal native herbs for the garden. She will guide you through their cultivation, and we’ll discuss delicious and safe uses of each species. Each participant will practice seed scarification and cold-moist stratification and take home prepared seeds for spring planting (rose mallow and nodding onion).
