Calling all folkies! Curated by Ben Collier, Folk Night will focus on the traditions of the genre. Hosted by a constellation of players. The evening will start out with poetics as a lecture, featuring some of JB Stone’s finest poems both for the stage and page, followed by a series of writing prompts that will give audience members a chance to generate their own work.
A weekly evening of jazz standards from the 40’s to the present, selections from the Great American Songbook, and
a touch of Latin too.
From raging fiddle tunes, to saxophone solos and unrequited love songs, the music of The Faux Paws would be hard to pin down with standard genre descriptions.
Bring a song you have written or are working on. Share with others. With the hopes of continuing to build a community of songwriters, Nick Kody from Kody & Herren will host this monthly get-together. The group will meet at the cafe main stage with new featured songwriters each month.
