Auditions for The Springville Players second show of the season, The 39 Steps, will take place at Springville Center for the Arts, 37 North Buffalo Street, Springville, NY 14141 on December 10 and 11 from 7-9pm. Based on a Hitchcock film, this zany reinterpretation written by Patrick Barlow requires a cast of four playing over 100 parts. No preparation is required. Creek Bend is a Buffalo-based band that has been serving up good, hot bluegrass music for over twenty five years.  They have played and produced local concerts with the greatest names in Bluegrass music: The Johnson Mountain Boys, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, the Bluegrass Cardinals, Bill Monroe and many more.  In 1992 they won first place at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival.  Creek Bend’s love of Bluegrass music and deep respect for its pioneers combined with versatility and hard work have earned them high praise among Bluegrass fans.

Opening for Creek Bend is special guest 12 year old Julianna Noto with The Volunteers.  Since Julianna was 8 years old she have been playing throughout WNY at coffee houses, open mics and main venues including the Springville Center for the Arts and the Wellsville Creative Arts Center.  Julianna sings a wide variety of songs from country to pop and is a true joy to listen to.

Springville Center for the Arts is proud to announce auditions for its June 2013 production of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play, Glengarry Glen Ross. This will be coed production of David Mamet’s scalding comedy about cutthroat real estate salespeople trying to grind out a living.  Auditions will be held at Springville Center for the Arts, 37 North Buffalo Street, Springville, NY 14141.   Actors who can play ages ranging from twenties to sixties, men OR women, will be supplied sides for readings on Monday, December 3rd from 7pm to 9pm and again on Tuesday , December 4th from 7pm to 9pm.
