Art Flows Where the Creek Dances

Artist: Cat Wolniewicz
Location: 26 Franklin Street

Learn More About this Mural:

This four part mural series depicts water flowing through the seasons in a colorful, ceramic block tile design. It was inspired by the creek behind 26 Franklin that has been bubbling through Springville for decades. As part of a network of many rivers, lakes, and waterfalls permeating Western NY, this creek is vital to the health of the local ecosystem. Art, just like the creek, also flows through our community and is vital to the health of the heart’s ecosystem. These murals invite the wanderer to experience both the creek and the community environment with reviewed vision and international delight.

Cat Wolniewicz is an expressive artist and holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Arts in Medicine. Her degree in multimedia design, and painting instruction at FIT in NYC, have imbued her work which incorporates mixed media and emotionally expressive themes. Cat’s art practice includes ceramic sculpture, watercolor, oil painting, and manipulating found objects. Her ceramic artworks and paintings are held in private collections in New York, Washington DC, Virginia, Florida, and North Carolina.
