Learn More About this Mural:
The idea for The Byrds was the significance of human beings’ quest to understand and coexist with nature. The mural format conveys the immediate fear from predators, using striking colors that are assaulting your visual awareness, both intimidating and immersing the viewer.
Richard Stamps has been creating artwork for over 60 years. His work is in the permanent collections of the Keenan Center, the Burchfield Penney Art Center, and one human canvas. For many observers, the meaning of the work of Richard H Stamps defies description. Many have struggled with Stamps’ work, suggesting it is quirky, eccentric, all over the place. What binds Stamps’ various themes is the artist’s engagement with the world around wherever he may be.
